Credit unions are always supporting local initiatives. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we follow credit unions helping out in the community.
Linn Area Credit Union
Linn Area Credit Union participated in HACAP’s Operation Backpack. The CU team assembled 173 emergency relief boxes and packed over 800 bags to help fight food insecurity. Thank you, Linn Area CU for helping in the community.
Service 1st Federal Credit Union
Service 1st Federal Credit Union was the Event Sponsor of McBride Memorial Library’s 4th Annual Mini Golf. The library transformed itself into an 18-hole indoor event for the community. Great job, Service 1st FCU!
Freedom First Credit Union
Freedom First Credit Union donated $2,150 to Live Work Eat Grow. The nonprofit cultivates vibrant communities by supporting community food systems, farms, and gardens.
Chartway Credit Union
Chartway Credit Union’s Empowering Women’s Resource Group transformed the teen game room at the YWCA South Hampton Roads women’s shelter. The renovations gives the room a more open environment for teens to relax and be at peace. Good work, Chartway CU!
Pima Federal Credit Union
Pima Federal Credit Union donated $20,000 to local school foundations in Tucson. The recipients were the Amphi Foundation, Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Flowing Wells Unified School District, and Marana Schools’ 2340 Foundation. Prima FCU has a strong commitment to supporting teachers, empowering students, and strengthening their community.
Winnebago Community Credit Union
Winnebago Community Credit Union partnered with The Family Radio Network for their Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive. Members and staff donated hygiene items to help stock the shelves of homeless and crisis programs. Thank you, Winnebago Community CU for providing aid in the community!
