Humanitarian Highlight 5.02.24

We all live in one big community and credit unions help support it. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we follow credit unions caring for the community.

A+ Federal Credit Union

A+ Federal Credit Union Volunteered at Safe in Austin. Their team helped move dog kennels, clean the barn, and set up for an upcoming event. Great job, A+ FCU, for caring for the community!

Rio Grande Credit Union

Rio Grande Credit Union teamed up with Tree New Mexico to help plant trees near their Branch in San Pedro. Tree New Mexico helps communities plant and care for trees in urban areas. Thank you, Rio Grande CU, for making the community a little more greener.

California Coast Credit Union

California Coast Credit Union hosted its pop-up blood drive in partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank. The CU team and neighboring businesses donated blood to save up to 93 lives. Great job, California Coast CU!

West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union

West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union participated in the Bowl for Kids’ Sake event. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Beaver County host the event every year. With the help of sponsors and participants, they were able to raise $20,000.

AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union

AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union donated $50,000 to Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania (VOPA). They also teamed up with VOPA to showcase their Tiny Home models in their branches. VOPA helps combat homelessness among veterans by providing vital services & support.

LAFCU

LAFCU participated in the Run for the House 5K hosted by the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan. The annual event helps support RMHC in providing a place to stay and eat for families while their children are hospitalized. Thank you, LAFCU for caring for the community!
