This week’s #HumanitarianHighlight is on credit unions demonstrating what a united community can accomplish. From fundraisers to supporting food pantries, CU’s are bringing members for great causes.
University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union
University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union raised over $33,000 for Aloha United Way. The funds raised will help AUW and support the Maui Fire Relief Fund. Great work, University of Hawaii FCU!
City & County Credit Union
City & County Credit Union donated $5,000 to ICA Food Shelf as part of their Minnesota Food Share Month campaign. The annual spring campaign raises funds and collects food for local food pantries to help those in need. Another great demonstration of what a united community can accomplish.
McCoy Federal Credit Union
McCoy Federal Credit Union participated in the MORE THAN PINK Walk in Altamonte Springs. The fundraising event celebrates survivors and raises funds to help with the fight against breast cancer. Thank you, McCoy FCU!
Valley Credit Union
Valley Credit Union donated 3,550 to Tumbleweed thanks to the success of their Refer-A-Friend program. The organization provides support and care to at-risk youth and young adults. Tumbleweed has been aiding homeless, trafficked, runaway, and otherwise at-risk youth and their families since its founding in 1976.
5Point Credit Union
5Point Credit Union Partnered with Southeast Texas Food Bank for their Souper Bowl campaign. The credit union collected monetary contributions and non-perishable food items at all of their locations. Great job, 5Point CU, at bringing your community together to make a difference.
LGE Community Credit Union
LGE Community Credit Union Participated in the Marietta Business Association’s luncheon. The CU joined public officials at the February event that fostered business growth and relationships in the Marietta area.
