Humanitarian Highlight 12.07.23

Credit unions play an essential role in their communities, offering financial services to their members and supporting local initiatives. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we observe credit unions giving a voice to the community.

Veridian Credit Union

Veridian Credit Union donated $35,000 to six nonprofits in Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota as part of their Veridian Gives Back for Giving Tuesday campaign. People in the community nominated the six organizations. Thank you Veridian CU for giving a voice to the community.

IHMVCU

With over 6,000 votes cast, IHMVCU gave a voice to the community through their Let’s Give Together Campaign. They had the public vote on how to distribute $10,000 between six local nonprofits. The Gray Matters Collective won the nomination for the $5,000 award.

Service One Credit Union

Service One Credit Union donated $2,500 to the Family Enrichment Center. Their contribution will help restock classrooms at the We Care Children Center. Great work Service One Credit Union!

LGECCU

LGECCU donated $1,000 to the Helping Hands of Paulding County. The organization helps the voices in their community through their clothing center and food pantry.

Financial Plus Credit Union

Financial Plus Credit Union is starting the month of December by giving a voice to the community. They donated $10,000 to the Mendota Christian Community Pantry.

Horizon Credit Union

Horizon Credit Union is making sure our animal friends’ voices are also being heard. They donated $500 to the Great Falls Animal Shelter. Thank you Horizon CU for giving a voice to all creatures in the community.
