Humanitarian Highlight 11.30.23

Credit unions are empowering members to give back one act at a time. In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we follow credit unions visiting schools, helping nonprofits, and aiding their members in disposing of documents.

Abound Credit Union

Abound Credit Union visited G. C. Burkhead Elementary School to teach financial literacy to 5th graders. They gifted each student $5 to start their own checking accounts. Great work Abound Credit Union for planting seeds of knowledge and empowerment.

We Florida Financial

We Florida Financial was a presenting sponsor for the A21 Walk for Freedom. The event raises awareness in the fight against human trafficking. They’re demonstrating credit unions’ commitment to critical global issues.

Public Service Credit Union

Public Service Credit Union raised $6,235 for The Pink Fund through their Annual Pink Out the Branch Campaign. This contribution brings hope to breast cancer patients in need. They were showcasing the power of community care that credit unions give.

Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union

Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union Held a community food drive to help two local food pantries. Their impact echoes in the smiles of those they’ve supported. Thank you GNOFCU for empowering your members to give back!

Elements Financial

Elements Financial transformed its 7th Annual Purpose Day into a melody of community service. Their team spent a day volunteering at various community organizations. From Little Red Door Cancer Agency to Bosma Enterprises, their actions reverberated a symphony of service.

McCoy Federal Credit Union

On November 18, McCoy Federal Credit Union held its Fall Shred Day. This free event for their members provided a secure way to prevent identity theft and recycle. They also collected donations for Toys for Tots. Thank you McCoy FCU for empowering members to give back!
