Humanitarian Highlight 11.02.23

Credit unions prove that when we come together, great things happen. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we follow credit unions that embody the motto, “Together we can.”

Commonwealth Credit Union

Commonwealth Credit Union partners with the American Red Cross for their Sound the Alarm program. They gathered volunteers, fire departments, and partners to install free smoke alarms in the community. Thank you Commonwealth Credit Union for demonstrating that together we can really make a difference.

Tucson Federal Credit Union

In April, Tucson FCU donated $50,000 to three remarkable organizations: Youth on their Own, Job Path, and Girl Scouts of Southern AZ. Through their TFCU Day celebration, they expressed gratitude for the Tucson community that allows them to give back. Great job Tucson FCU!

Guadalupe Credit Union

Guadalupe Credit Union participated at the McCurdy Charter School’s Reality Fair, actively imparting financial wisdom to students. From budgeting to future planning, they mentor young minds to make informed financial choices.

The Atlantic Federal Credit Union

As part of their week of giving in partnership with the CrossState Credit Union Association’s CU Kind Day, The Atlantic Federal Credit Union prepared and donated brown bag lunches for those in need. St. Joseph Social Service Center was instrumental in distributing these acts of kindness.

Blue Federal Credit Union

Blue Federal Credit Union believes in giving back to the community. Their team volunteered to make a difference across Wyoming and Colorado. Organizations like Mountain Family Center, Meals on Wheels Cheyenne, A Precious Child, and The Family Tree have all benefited from their heartfelt efforts.

Meriwest Credit Union

Meriwest Credit Union makes a firm commitment to end hunger by volunteering at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. In a hands-on food-sorting event, they sorted and packed meals to support hundreds of residents in need. Second Harvest is doing whatever it takes to end hunger in the community, and Meriwest Credit Union is right there by their side.
