Credit unions are making a difference in the lives of people and animals in their communities. In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we share stories of credit unions with gifts for the community.
Firelands Federal Credit Union
Firelands Federal Credit Union donated $61,000 towards 130 projects presented at local fairs. The FCU helps support local livestock education projects for youths. This year, they visited the Attica Independent, Crawford County, Erie County, and Huron County Fairs. Thank you Firelands FCU for bringing these gifts to the community.
Arizona Financial Credit Union
Arizona Financial Credit Union awarded $44,000 in grants to 10 nonprofits. They raised the funds through their Local Causes Visa debit card program. Since its launch in 2020, the program has provided nearly $200,000 in aid to nonprofits.
One Nevada Credit Union
One Nevada Credit Union donated $4,224 to the SPCA of Northern Nevada. A large portion of the funds were raised during the credit union’s free community shred event. Great work, One Nevada Credit Union!
evolve Federal Credit Union
evolve Federal Credit Union donated $1,677 to El Paso Children’s Hospital. The funds will help the organization treat children in need of medical aid.
Compass Federal Credit Union
Compass Federal Credit Union held their Annual Member Picnic with over 300 members in attendance. The event was filled with BBQ, bumper cars, and plenty of prizes. Compass FCU brought their community together by showing appreciation to their members.
Downey Federal Credit Union
Downey Federal Credit Union donated $1,425 to SEAACA. The animal care center provides shelter and vaccinations to lost and unwanted animals. Thank you Downey Federal Credit Union!
