Humanitarian Highlight 8.10.23

For this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we’re looking at credit unions inspiring hope in the communities in which they serve. From charitable events to handing out sunglasses, CUs encourage a positive impact.

Garden Savings Federal Credit Union

Garden Savings Federal Credit Union’s Annual Golf Outing raised $28,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Children’s Specialized Hospital. They were able to organize so many professionals in support of two incredible organizations. Great work Garden Savings FCU!

Pearl Hawaii Federal Credit Union

Pearl Hawaii Federal Credit Union participated at Kipapa Elementary School’s back-to-school supply and food drive. They created smiles on children’s faces as they spent the day handing out supplies.

American Eagle Financial Credit Union

American Eagle Financial Credit Union gifted $9,486 to the Literacy Volunteers of Central Connecticut. The nonprofit teaches people to read, write, and speak English. The funds were collected through their Cash Back to the Community program.

Winnebago Community Credit Union

Winnebago Community Credit Union distributed over 200 WinCU shades and organized games at the Pollock Community Waterpark. Their fun approach resulted in a heartwarming moment of joy.

Fibre Federal Credit Union

Fibre Federal Credit Union hosted their Cowlitz County School Supplies Drive. The supplies and monetary donations will help local students gear up for the new school year. Thank you Fibre FCU for inspiring hope in the community.

AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union

AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union’s visit to Susquehanna Service Dogs was marked by a generous $500 donation check. The organization raises and trains service dogs to support individuals with disabilities. Thank you Amerchoice FCU!
