Credit unions are shining with generosity this summer. This week, we follow the incredible humanitarian actions by credit unions that are making a positive impact in the communities they serve. From supporting local charities to empowering students, these credit unions are truly making a difference.
Credit Union of Southern California
CU SoCal donated $199,000 to 23 charitable organizations in the Southern California area. They hand-delivered donation checks to various non-profits. Thank you CU SoCal for supporting a diverse group of charitable organizations.
Bossier Federal Credit Union
Bossier Federal Credit Union shows unwavering support for their community by conducting a Food Drive Competition. Empowered by unity, their employees collected over 1,700 items and 3,000 pounds of food. The charitable competition will help support the Bossier Sheriff’s Food Pantry. A great example of a credit union shining with generosity.
Coast360 Federal Credit Union
After Typhoon Mawar’s devastation, Coast360 FCU extends a helping hand by donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross Guam Chapter’s disaster relief efforts. The credit union is standing strong with their community during challenging times. Great work, Coast360 Federal Credit Union!
PALCO Federal Credit Union
PALCO Federal Credit Union brightens the lives of students in Lycoming County by donating $500 to Child Hunger Outreach Partners (CHOP). The funds will support a new backpack and in-school food pantry program. Their gift helps ensure children have access to meals over the weekend and empowers them to pursue an education.
UFirst Federal Credit Union
UFirst Federal Credit Union donated $100,000 to the New YMCA in Plattsburgh. The partnership with the Plattsburgh YMCA aims to create a state-of-the-art health and wellness facility. Northeast Community Credit Union is ensuring that students are well-prepared for the new school year by sponsoring both of Carter County’s backpack programs with a $1,000 donation each.
