Humanitarian Highlight 3.16.23
In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we observe credit unions participating in charitable activities to help those in need. From fundraising contests for children to sponsoring events, these credit unions are making an impact in their communities in various ways. A real humanitarian impact!
ORNL Federal Credit Union
ORNL Federal Credit Union’s annual photography contest saw the sale of over 1,600 calendars. They raised $10,000 for Special Spaces, a nonprofit that builds dream bedrooms for children with cancer. Thank you ORNL FCU and everyone in the community who purchased the calendars for their generous contributions.
Allegent Community Federal Credit Union
Allegent Community Federal Credit Union visited the Verland Foundation’s new home for residents. The credit union presented a $26,000 donation they raised from their December donation drive.
Sound Credit Union

OneAZ Credit Union
Each OneAZ Credit Union branch hosted a supply drive to collect items for local organizations. The Northern region collected personal care items for the Northern AZ VA Healthcare System. The Central region collected school supplies for local schools. The Southern region collected food items for the Southern Mission Food Bank. The credit union thanked its members for their generous donations that made these drives possible.
First Florida Credit Union
First Florida Credit Union was a sponsor of the Bark in the Park event. The dog-loving event featured a doggy parade, dress-up contest, and dog adoptions. FFCU had a table set up throughout the day and expressed their appreciation to all attendees. Great work First Florida Credit Union!
