Humanitarian Highlight 04.02.26

We have so many great credit unions and those in the movement doing great humanitarian deeds. The spirit of renewal for credit unions is a year-long dedication and not just about spring.

Credit Unions For Kids

This is more than one credit union, more than a handful of credit unions. We saw almost 600 credit union leaders, business partners and hospital representatives attend the Credit Unions for Kids Wine Auction. This is a great cause that raises funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year’s events raised $2.4 million to help this network and shows continued growth in the annual charity. This annual charity drive has raised more than $20 million to benefit the CMN Hospitals across California and Nevada.

Pathways Financial Federal Credit Union

Maysville Lion’s Club Radio Auction 2026 was grateful to Pathways Financial FCU for their contributions. They have been a longtime sponsorship of their auction. For over a decade, the Maysville Lions Club Auction has raised money for their community to be used in a variety of ways.

Workers Credit Union

El Buen Samaritano was distributing food to many in their community and were assisted by Workers CU. The El Buen Samaritano organization assists hundreds of families every week to get the resources they need. They are very thankful for the humanitarians who assist them.

Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union

Knoxville TVA Employees CU made a donation to help Somebody Loves Me in their pursuit to help children in need. Somebody Loves Me is a Tennessee charity that helps children with clothing, shoes, and personal need items.

Downey Federal Credit Union

It was another great ARC Walk to support and empower many individuals with disabilities. Downey FCU was an enthusiastic participant in the event. A great cause that has been providing many individuals with information, advocacy and skills to be more engaged and active in their community, when they have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Midwest Members Credit Union

It has been a long-running annual tradition for MIdwest Members CU to hand out free Easter Hams to those in their community. In a partnership with the Crisis Food Center they are able to hand out many ham dinners to those in need.
