Humanitarian Highlight 01.29.26

It is Thursday, that means we put the spotlight on the humanitarians in this highlight. We have found some cozying up to a cause in this cool season. We have some more scholarships and we have wreaths for our fallen heroes and so much more. Without further ado, here is this week’s Humanitarian Highlights!

Market USA Federal Credit Union

Market USA FCU took part in Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery last month. A great and important event to honor the fallen and other heroes who served this nation in uniform. They volunteered their time to place wreaths as tributes on the tombstones. Hooah!! 🇺🇸

Family First Credit Union

Family First CU held a successful toy drive last year. Even though most of us have moved on from the holidays in December we still are bringing up these deeds because they are important for your members and communities.

MTCU Credit Union

MTCU CU ran a Skip-a-Pay Donation program where their loan members were able to skip their auto or personal loan payments this past November. They were able to donate over $8,500 to Food2Kids and the West Texas Food Bank along with donations of dry and canned foods from members.

Ukrainian Selfreliance Michigan Federal Credit Union

The Ukrainian Selfreliance Michigan FCU donated $3,000 to a local cathedral. The Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral and their parishioners were very thankful for this generous Christmas donation. This is not the first and surely won’t be the last.

River Valley Credit Union

River Valley CU has put out the call for students seeking funds for college or other certified programs. They are offering $6,000 in scholarships to those who are eligible and win. Be sure to check out their details. They also had a very successful Toys for Tots program last month!

NESC Federal Credit Union

Last month we saw NESC FCU put together a great Giving Tuesday event. They had donations for many local charities such as Opportunity Works, Granite State Dog Recovery, AltaMar Foundation and Si, Se Puede. So many great humanitarian causes were given donations that day and we thank NESC for their part. We also saw they have a Scholarship program that started accepting applications this week and a wonderful list of winter reads!
