Humanitarian Highlight 01.22.26

Every year, every month, and every day there are great deeds done by credit unions to improve their community and assist their members. We are here with another batch of Humanitarian Highlights we are calling January Joy, even if they occurred in other months.

H.P.C. Credit Union

H.P.C. CU recently awarded a prize to their final winner of their 75th Anniversary monthly giveaway. They presented a donation of $750 do the Alpena Childcare and Development Center to help ensure joy for the little children they attend to. They had a nomination for favorite local non-profits and donated to the top selected charities.

Kerr County Federal Credit Union

Kerr County FCU ran a donation to help their local dog rescue, and to help their community find new fur babies. They had a Whiskey & Brisket BBQ for the dogs and food & toy drive for the strays, as they said in their post. They took in donations for blankets, chew toys, food and so much more. Communities are not just the people, but the pets and relationships as well.

Lakeview Federal Credit Union

Recently Lakeview FCU put the call out for their community to help decorate their trees. The decorations were donated hats, mittens, scarves, and socks to help their local students in need. What a creative way to collect donations and to celebrate the holidays.

MountainCrest Credit Union

The Marysville Food Bank was given a large donation of food that MountainCrest CU collected from their community. This was a few months ago, but it was during a period where food scarcity was a very big issue. They were able to donate over 170 lbs. of food to support their community.

Campbell Federal Credit Union

Campbell FCU has an annual Season of Giving program where they donate money to charity based on digital banking transactions. They held the 2025 program recently and it was a great success! Here is to another year of them looking out for their community!

Franklin-Somerset Federal Credit Union

The Franklin County Animal Shelter was ecstatic when they were given a large donation for their animals. Snacks, food, litter and other necessities were given to ensure the homeless animals they take care of are given the things they need. These donations are necessary and help build a strong community.
