Humanitarian Highlight 10.10.25

In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we’re celebrating “CUs on a Mission.” Credit unions across the country show up for neighbors, support families, and spark smiles when it matters most. A credit union isn’t just where you keep your money, because it’s where community begins.

Community Resource Federal Credit Union

Community Resource FCU brightened summer for kids in Albany. They proudly sponsored the Albany Police Athletic League’s backpack and school supply giveaway. For the tenth year, they gave $1,500 to support local families. Children started school ready and excited, thanks to this mission-driven credit union. Thank you, Community Resource FCU!

Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union

Southern Chautauqua FCU brought the fun to Jamestown’s Labor Day Festival. They supported Collaborative Children’s Solutions and helped keep beloved traditions alive. Families enjoyed music, food, wrestling, and fireworks. Their involvement filled the park with laughter and pride. It’s another example of CUs on a Mission in action.

Ulster Federal Credit Union

Ulster FCU walked with pride at the Disability Awareness Parade, back in July. The Resource Center for Accessible Living’s event celebrated strength, resilience, and inclusion. Ulster FCU joined arms with community members and lifted voices that matter. Their mission goes beyond banking—it’s about honoring dignity and diversity.

Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union

Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union partnered with Her Justice to host a free Child Support Workshop, and the results were beautiful. Parents got real guidance. Kids enjoyed snacks and laughter. Families left feeling informed and supported. Great job, Brooklyn Cooperative FCU!

Community Link Federal Credit Union

Community Link Federal Credit Union helped kids prepare for school with free supplies. Their Youth members walked away smiling and ready for a new semester, back in July. Education feels less overwhelming when support shows up. CLFCU made back-to-school season brighter for a whole community.

Hoosier Hills Credit Union

Hoosier Hills Credit Union is fighting hunger in Monroe County. They wrapped up their first “Red, White, and Food” drive with joy. They collected over 300 pounds of donations for Healing Hands. It’s a shining example of what happens when local people come together to make sure no neighbor goes hungry.
