Humanitarian Highlight 08.14.25

Credit Unions don’t just manage money; they show up, roll up their sleeves, and give back. Whether they’re helping shred documents or supporting skating events, they work in the aid of the community.

Credit Human

Credit Human hosted their 2025 Shred Day, which helped save identities and the environment. The team shredded 16,000 pounds of paper to protect community members’ personal information. Their efforts saved 136 trees and conserved 16 barrels of oil. They also diverted 24 cubic yards of waste from landfills. Credit Human proved that protecting privacy and the planet can go hand in hand.

Granite Credit Union

Granite Credit Union celebrated Pacific Islander Heritage Month in style. They covered the cost of admission and skate rentals for 1,000 guests at Millcreek Common. Families laughed, danced, and skated beneath the lights. Granite CU created space for culture, celebration, and connection.

True Sky Federal Credit Union

True Sky Federal Credit Union turned a fun day of golf into an impactful fundraiser. Their Annual Golf Tournament raised $40,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Each dollar supports children and families facing medical challenges. Every swing, putt, and cheer contributed to caring for children in need. Great work, True Sky FCU!

North Star Community Credit Union

North Star Community Credit Union launched a school supply drive at its Maddock branch. Families dropped notebooks, pencils, and backpacks into a bright yellow school bus collection box. These donations help students return to class confident and prepared. North Star showed that even small items make an impact in the aid of the community.

Dutch Point Credit Union

The Dutch Point Credit Union team rolled up its sleeves and got to work. Partnering with Rebuilding Together, they helped repair and improve homes for families in need. Their team repaired steps, installed safety features, and made homes more accessible. These upgrades ensure families feel safe and supported. Dutch Point CU picked up tools and created change with their own hands.
