Humanitarian Highlight 07.31.25
Gathering the community together is what credit unions do best. From supporting local hospitals to feeding hungry families, the possibilities are endless when people gather together. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, CUs are stepping up with donations, volunteer work, and creative outreach.
Bay Federal Credit Union
Bay Federal Credit Union raised $25,805 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Employees, members, and partners rallied together to support Salinas Valley Health through the Salinas Valley Health Foundation. Thank you, Bay FCU, for gathering the community for such a great cause.
Sound Credit Union
Summer hunger doesn’t stand a chance when Sound Credit Union gets involved. Their Root Out Hunger campaign partnered with food banks across Western Washington. Sound branches collected canned goods and cash donations. Their members’ generosity resulted in full shelves, full hearts, and a community full of hope.
LOYALTY Credit Union
LOYALTY Credit Union teamed up with United Way to host the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. They opened their community room to offer free tax prep to local residents. Families received refunds and credits without the stress of high fees. LOYALTY Credit Union made tax season a little easier.
AmeriCU Credit Union
AmeriCU Credit Union celebrated military members with their 13th Annual Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert. Thousands gathered for live music, gratitude, and unity. AmeriCU and its sponsors pulled together to thank the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division in the most memorable way.
BrightBridge Credit Union
BrightBridge Credit Union hosted its annual Charity Golf Classic to support Financial EDGE, a free financial literacy program. Players, sponsors, and donors enjoyed an afternoon of fun while funding financial education across Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Every swing and every donation moved the mission forward.
Security Credit Union
Security Credit Union filled a truck with pet food and supplies for the Humane Society of Genesee County. Their June Pet Drive inspired employees and members to donate generously. Their efforts resulted in dozens of happy paws and tails.
