Does AI Deserve a Hug?

Yeah, yeah, yeah…we’ve all been surrounded these days by the AI theme. It’s scary, to be sure. So, like it or not, it’s most definitely here to stay!

Well, that said, is there anything positive about AI in Credit Union Land?

Perhaps…

The notion of “AI” does give way to gaps that we all might be missing. Like underserved Members, Members that deserve more, garnishing more eligible Members, etc…

Your Credit Union has a literal mountain of internal data (and it should absolutely stay internal!).

Proper, safe use of AI can maybe allow you to serve your Members the way they deserve to be served. Data assimilation from within can easily be done in milliseconds. Giving your team members a much larger birds-eye-view of who your Members really are. They’re beautiful and may not truly realize how much/many services are available to them.

So, maybe take a step back and give AI a lil hug? It is scary if misused, no doubt (mean people still suck!).

However, “internal AI” could be a novel approach to demonstrating to your Members that AI and financial services can indeed be beneficial.
