Humanitarian Highlight 07.03.25

Credit unions are giving back each week. Whether through therapy dogs, budget workshops, or book drives, they find cheerful ways to help their communities thrive. In this round-up, we’re spotlighting six CUs who make giving back look so joyful.

Honor Credit Union

Honor Credit Union donated $1,500 to Gwinn Area Community Schools. Their donation sponsored five therapy dogs. These pups will provide comfort, reduce stress, and support mental wellness. With every tail wag and gentle nudge, they will help kids feel calm and safe. That’s giving back in the cutest way possible.

Aspire Credit Union

Aspire Credit Union showed appreciation with a full week of cheerful events. Their five-day Member Week overflowed with smiles, treats, and gratitude. By putting people first, Aspire Credit Union gave back with celebration and heart.

UNIFY Financial Credit Union

UNIFY Financial Credit Union gave members the tools to thrive with their “Building a Better Budget” webinar. The free session offered real advice, practical steps, and friendly encouragement. Giving back sometimes means helping people build strong foundations.

Heritage Community Credit Union

Heritage Community Credit Union held a Member Shred event to fight fraud and clutter. Members brought old documents and watched them disappear in the shred truck. The event made organizing fun and helped protect personal information. A simple act, but a powerful way of giving back.

Wauna Credit Union

Wauna Credit Union joined West Tuality Habitat for Humanity for “Take Care of Cornelius Day.” Staff members grabbed gloves, picked up tools, and got to work. From cleaning up neighborhoods to building safer homes, Wauna’s team showed how giving back starts with showing up.

MassMutual Federal Credit Union

MassMutual Federal Credit Union turned pages into possibilities with their Children’s Book Drive. They collected nearly 400 books for kids in need. Each book carried stories, adventures, and dreams. Thank you, MassMutual FCU!
