Humanitarian Highlight 04.03.25

Spring isn’t the only thing in full bloom—so is the generosity of credit unions! Across the country, CUs continue to plant seeds of kindness in their communities. From scholarships to celebrations, they bring people together in meaningful ways. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we follow credit unions that are blooming with excitement.

Security First Credit Union

Nothing says community like a fun-filled festival! Security First Credit Union showed up in full force at the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Onion Fest. More than 35 team members volunteered their time, ensuring the event ran smoothly. Their enthusiasm helped make the festival an unforgettable experience. Great work, Security First CU, for leaving the festival blooming with excitement!

SF Fire Credit Union

The streets of San Francisco sparkled with excitement as SF Fire Credit Union joined the Chinese New Year Parade. To make the celebration even more special, they gifted premium bleacher tickets to a pair of lucky members. Their participation brought members and neighbors together for a dazzling night of culture and tradition.

City of Boston Credit Union

Giving back is always in style at City of Boston Credit Union. Their staff raised money for the Katie Strong Foundation through their weekly Jeans Day fundraiser. Every donation supports families in need, making a real difference in the community. CBCU’s team proves that small acts of kindness bloom into something bigger.

Unitus Community Credit Union

Unitus Community Credit Union celebrated National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day by teaming up with Delicious Donuts. They surprised lucky winners with $50 gift cards, encouraging people to support small businesses. This initiative strengthened local commerce and brought attention to a beloved family-owned shop.

Cherokee Strip Credit Union

Nothing brings a town together like high school sports! Cherokee Strip Credit Union proudly sponsors the PO-HI Tip-Off Club, supporting the Ponca City Wildcats. Their commitment fuels student-athletes’ dreams, giving them the resources they need to succeed. With teamwork and community support, these young stars shine bright!

Olympia Credit Union

At Olympia Credit Union, education is always a top priority. Through their partnership with Partners in Education (PIE), they help reward hardworking students like Luke and Landon.
