Humanitarian Highlight 03.06.25

Time is one of the most valuable things we can give. Whether through scholarships, charity events, or local traditions, credit unions invest time where it matters most. They don’t just offer financial services—they show up, roll up their sleeves, and make a difference. Today, we celebrate CUs that are investing time in the communities in which they serve.

Wings Credit Union

Wings Credit Union helped aspiring pilots take flight by sponsoring the 7th Annual Sisters of the Skies Scholarship Gala. This event supports Black female aviators with mentorship and career development. By investing time and resources, Wings Credit Union helps create a more diverse aviation industry.

Altana Federal Credit Union

At Altana Federal Credit Union, community support is always a winning game. Their 3rd Annual Bingo for Life event raised funds for the American Cancer Society of Yellowstone County. Every bingo card sold brought hope to families fighting cancer. A fun night out became a night of hope for families battling cancer. Talk about a jackpot!

Sun Community Federal Credit Union

Sun Community Federal Credit Union brought excitement to the Holtville Carrot Festival Parade. Their team joined the festivities, waving and cheering with the community. They reminded everyone that financial success is a journey best traveled together. Investing time in local traditions keeps communities strong, and Sun Community FCU is proud to be part of that ride.

Blue Eagle Credit Union

Every teenager deserves to feel special at prom, and Blue Eagle Credit Union made that possible. They collected dresses for K92’s Say Yes to the Prom Dress event. The event allowed students to buy beautiful gowns for just $10, with proceeds benefiting Project Hope. Every donated dress gave a student the chance to feel special on their big night.

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union joined the Great Aloha Run, supporting a culture of inclusivity and teamwork. It is this inclusive philosophy that reflects the Hawaiian name for this race, “Ke kukini me ke aloha pau‘ole”—the race with compassionate love. Their members ran, walked, and cheered others on. By investing time in open participation, Aloha Pacific FCU creates a sense of community.

Provident Credit Union

Provident Credit Union donated $3,500 to student organizations at San Jose State University. These funds supported leadership programs, career development, and educational initiatives. By backing students, Provident Credit Union invests in the future workforce and local community leaders.
