Humanitarian Highlight 5.16.24

Credit unions come to the aid of their members and community. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we observe CUs who are heroes of the community in which they serve.

TruMark Financial Credit Union

TruMark Financial Credit Union donated $20,000 to Philabundance. The funds will provide food to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Thank you, TruMark Financial CU, for being heroes of the community!

MSU Federal Credit Union

MSU Federal Credit Union helped sponsor the 11th Annual Freep Film Festival. The four-day festival featured films with a strong connection to the issues, people, and places around Detroit and Michigan. Great work, MSUFCU!

Partnership Financial Credit Union

Partnership Financial Credit Union donated $1,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.  The funds will be used to help improve the lives of wounded service members through programs in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care. Thank you, Partnership Financial CU, for supporting the heroes of the community!

Firefighters & Company Federal Credit Union

Firefighters & Company Federal Credit Union delivered 820 CO detectors to 16 local fire departments. The donations were made possible thanks to their members who participated in our skip-a-pay program.

Northern Credit Union

Northern Credit Union participated in the Watertown Family YMCA’s 35th Annual Shamrock Run. The event raised $16,400 to provide resources, programs, and experiences designed to nurture every child’s potential.

Emery Federal Credit Union

Emery Federal Credit Union participated in Dorothy Howell Elementary School’s career day. The CU team had fun with students and explained what it’s like to work at a credit union. Thank you, Emery FCU, for being heroes of the community!
