Humanitarian Highlight 4.04.24

Credit unions are here for your community and others like it. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we follow CUs visiting schools, making donations, and participating in community events.

Keys Federal Credit Union

Keys Federal Credit Union donated $250 to the Key West Preschool Co-Op for their 34th Annual Spring Fair. Their contribution is an example of how credit unions support the education of future generations. Key West Preschool Co-Op has been helping children since its founding in 1988.

Team One Credit Union

Team One Credit Union participated in Human Development Commissions’ Walk for Warmth events. The funds raised will help those in need of utility assistance during periods of cold weather. Great job, Team One CU!

ORNL Federal Credit Union

ORNL Federal Credit Union visited third graders of Wynn Elementary and White Oak to share knowledge and spread positivity. Special thanks to Cyndi, the LaFollette Branch Manager, for spending the day with students.

Greater Nevada Credit Union

Greater Nevada Credit Union presented a $35,000 donation to the Wolf Pack marching band. Board Members presented the check at a local basketball game. Thank you Greater Nevada CU!

South Carolina Federal Credit Union

South Carolina Federal Credit Union participated in the Lowcountry Heart Walk. The event is a great way for participants to boost their heart and mental health while helping millions of others at the same time. Great job South Carolina FCU team!

Sierra Central Credit Union

Sierra Central Credit Union visited Willows High School for a demonstration of their BITE OF REALITY app. During a school event on Valentine’s Day, Sierra Central volunteers discussed the importance of living on a budget with students. Another great example of how credit unions are here for your community.
