Credit unions play an essential role in their communities, offering financial services to their members and supporting local initiatives. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we observe credit unions going above and beyond for their communities.

SIU Credit Union

SIU Credit Union helped fund the SIU Credit Union Event Center at Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center with a $500,000 donation. The project is made possible due to a $500,000 donation from the credit union. Thank you SIU Credit Union for going above and beyond for your community.

Mutual Credit Union

Mutual Credit Union donated $5,000 to the Medgar and Angela Scott Foundation. The organization helps those less fortunate by providing tools and resources in career, education, finance, health, and human services areas.

Langley Federal Credit Union

Langley Federal Credit Union hosted a blood in support of the American Red Cross. The event was held on September 1st at their Hilltop branch. Langley FCU is going above and beyond to save lives in their community.

Gundersen Credit Union

Gundersen Credit Union participated in Gundersen Medical Foundation’s 18th annual Steppin’ Out in Pink event. The foundation’s walk helps support breast cancer research and patient support programs. Great work Gundersen Credit Union!

True Community Credit Union

True Community Credit Union donated $2,000 to Andy’s Place. The organization offers housing and programs for people overcoming addiction.

Afena Federal Credit Union

Afena FCU hosted their 9th annual Riley Monster Mini Golf event, supporting Riley Children’s Hospital. The community enjoyed a day filled with food, face painting, and games. Thank you Afena Federal Credit Union for going above and beyond for everyone!
