Humanitarian Highlight 9.14.23

In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we follow credit unions illuminating communities through acts of kindness. From veterans’ welfare to supporting the youth, credit unions shine a light of hope in the areas in which they serve.

United Federal Credit Union

Who says Christmas only happens in December? United FCU partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada – Carson Valley for their One-Day, Online Match campaign for Christmas in July. Together, they raised $3,040 to spread July cheer!

Midwest Community Federal Credit Union

Midwest Community proudly stands shoulder to shoulder with local veterans. They donated $1,000 to Operation KAVIC. The organization provides financial assistance to veterans facing financial hardships. Thank you Midwest Community FCU!

TruWest Credit Union

TruWest Credit Union recently presented a $1,000 donation to Maggie’s Place. Their support shines a light on the importance of community involvement. Maggie’s Place provides safe housing community for homeless pregnant women.

Community One Credit Union Inc.

Community One Credit Union Inc. was a proud sponsor to the Stark County Fair. The family event was filled with food, exhibitions, and animals. Thank you Community One Credit Union Inc. for illuminating communities by bringing joy.

Unity Credit Union

Unity Credit Union’s dedicated staff showcased how small efforts can ripple into significant change. Their “Dress Down” Fridays from January to June resulted in a generous donation of $997.50 to Telemiracle. It’s a compelling example of credit unions illuminating communities through unity.

St. Mary’s Bank

St. Mary’s Bank presented Stepping Stone with their $5,338 1908 Fund Grant. This grant award enables Stepping Stones to provide two homeless youths with six months of services. Which will include food, clothing, and access to a shower and laundry. Great work St. Mary’s Bank!
