Credit unions are actively making a difference through their compassionate actions. In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight we follow credit unions being active in the communities in which they serve. Let’s celebrate their heartwarming deeds!
FAIRWINDS Credit Union
FAIRWINDS Credit Union’s crewmembers actively participated in a lake restoration project. They rolled up their sleeves to remove invasive plants and planted over 2,000 shoreline plants. Their actions helped improve the habitat for wildlife in the lake.
Elevate Credit Union
Elevate Credit Union didn’t just stop at good intentions. Through their STUFF The Bus initiative, they raised a whopping $2026.18 for the United Way of Northern Utah. The funds directly support disadvantaged students in Box Elder County.
Dannemora Federal Credit Union
Dannemora Federal Credit Union is being active by raising funds for Elmore SPCA through their Jean Day program. They provide shelter and comfort to animals in need. With the funds raised, the animal shelter is able help provide better help to the animals in the community.
Interior Federal Credit Union
Interior Federal Credit Union didn’t just cheer from the sidelines. They sponsored the very first DOI softball team in the US government tournament. Team DOI secured a remarkable 2nd place. Great work Interior FCU!
HPC Credit Union
HPC Credit Union shares kindness, one backpack at a time. The credit union donated 100 pre-filled backpacks to the Boys and Girls Club of Alpena. The backpacks were filled with water bottles, snacks, and school supplies. They were distributed to children as they returned to school.
Dort Financial Credit Union
Dort Financial Credit Union is being active by building communities with compassion. In Flint, they donated to the construction of a new YMCA and wellness center. The project will promote health, wellness, and inclusivity in the community.
