Humanitarian Highlight 8.17.23

In a fast-paced world, credit unions are actively transforming their communities. In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we follow credit unions demonstrating kindness in action within the communities they serve.

The Summit Federal Credit Union

The Summit FCU, Tops Friendly Markets, and Galaxy Media Partners teamed up for the 2023 Taste of Syracuse event. Their joint effort raised $23,872 for two Central New York organizations, Sleep in Heavenly Peace and PEACE Inc. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Onondaga County. Thank you for fueling youth empowerment through your actions.

Coast Central Credit Union

Coast Central Credit Union donated $2,000 to Hospice of Humboldt. The funds will be used to provide warmth and comfort to local patients and families. Great work Coast Central Credit Union!

Revity Credit Union

Revity CU’s Smile for Jeans program delivered more than just smiles. With a donation of $1,030 to Collinsville Charities for Children, they will provide 50 pairs of shoes to kids in the Collinsville School District. Another great example of a credit union’s proactive kindness.

Northern Communities Credit Union

Northern Communities CU took strides for a cause. They participated in the Epilepsy Foundation’s fundraising event. Their active support raised awareness and solidarity for those battling epilepsy.

Meritrust Credit Union

Meritrust Credit Union’s actions speak louder than words. They helped the Common Ground Producers and Growers with gardening and their Mobile Food Market. Their contribution was made in collaboration with United Way.

MembersAlliance Credit Union

MembersAlliance CU made a $620 to Marshmallow’s Hope. The organization connects youth and parents with suicide prevention resources. Their dedicated effort marks a critical alliance for mental health. Another great example of a credit union’s kindness in action.
