Humanitarian Highlight 1.26.23
In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we would like to thank all the marvelous credit unions and all the good they do. We are spotlighting a few credit unions giving back to the communities in which they serve.
Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union
The Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union raised $24,089.44 through its 2022 Fill the Bucket campaign in support of the Camas Prairie Food Bank. The funds will help feed those in need. Thank you Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union!
Ascentra Credit Union
Ascentra Credit Union has pledged a $50,000 donation to the Friends of MLK to support the MLK Park project. The MLK Park will serve as a community space and is the first formal memorial of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in Davenport, Iowa.
Community Financial Credit Union
The Community Financial Credit Union donated $50,000 to support of the Plymouth ArtWalk project. The credit union partnered with the Art Foundation as an official sponsor for their community art initiative project. The Plymouth ArtWalk project will feature ten interactive art installations in downtown Plymouth.
Dannemora Federal Credit Union
Dannemora Federal Credit Union gifted $350,000 to the Plattsburgh YMCA. The funds will help the organization renovate their new facility to include a fitness center, child watch areas, studios and conference rooms. Well done Dannemora Federal Credit Union!
Shoreline Hometown Credit Union
Shoreline Credit Union has raised over $13,000 for the Salvation Army of Manitowoc County. Funding was raised through the credit union’s Season Pass Pin program during the past holiday season. Thank you Shoreline Credit Union for helping make Manitowoc County an even better place to live.
Ideal Credit Union
Ideal Credit Union donated $1,500 to the Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota. The funds will help fulfill the organization’s mission to ensure that veterans and their families have access to all available services and benefits. Great work Ideal Credit Union!
