Humanitarian Highlight 12.15.22
Hello everyone, happy Thursday, and welcome back to an all-new Humanitarian Highlight! This week’s #HumanitarianHighlight is on the cu’s keep on giving spirit.
Power Financial Credit Union
Power Financial Credit Union collected $15,265.37 to support Honor Flight South Florida. Donations were collected in the months of October and November through their Donation Matching Challenge. Thank you Power Financial Credit Union!
Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union
Ocean Financial Credit Union donated $8,500 to the Hicksville-based Catholic Youth Organization. The funds will be used to support various athletic programs like the Amazing Children Engaged in Sports program, which helps children with disabilities to be active and to be a part of a team.
Credit Union of Colorado
Nearly 200 employees from the Credit Union of Colorado volunteered to help out 22 charitable organizations for their annual Here to Help Day. The credit union also donated nearly $12,000 in support of this year’s efforts.
Financial Plus Credit Union
Financial Plus Credit Union raised $28,000 for the Hurley Foundation in support of local breast cancer patients. The credit union donated $10,000 to support the foundation’s Pink Night Palooza. Financial Plus Credit Union collected the rest through their own Pink Bake Sale and Banking to Beat Cancer Campaign.
Select 7 Credit Union
Select 7 Credit Union handed out 150 turkeys to families in Johnson City. The credit union gave away enough turkeys to stretch 75 yards on a football field to honor their 75th anniversary. Congratulations Select 7 Credit Union for 75 years of helping out the community!
Minnco Credit Union
Minnco Credit Union donated $1,500 to Family Pathways. The nonprofit provides essential services like food access, caregiving, domestic violence, and parenting services to central Minnesota and Polk County.
