Humanitarian Highlight 12.08.22
This week’s #HumanitarianHighlight is on the gifts for the community from credit unions from around the nation. Here are a few credit unions providing aid through donations, food drives, and fundraisers.
OnPoint Community Credit Union
OnPoint Community Credit Union donated $100,000 to eight nonprofit organizations located in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The nonprofits will use the funds to provide food security and shelter relief to underserved communities. Thank you OnPoint Community Credit Union!
Member One Credit Union
Member One Credit Union gifted $50,000 to Bradley Free Clinic, a medical center that has been providing free medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to the communities in Roanoke Valley. The credit union’s gift will be used for community outreach programs and to provide dental services for those without insurance.
UMassFive College Federal Credit Union
UMassFive College Federal Credit Union raised more than $20,000 for two nonprofit organizations. They were able to raise $4,800 for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts through their Will Bike 4 Food event. UMassFive College Federal Credit Union raised $15,700 for the UMass Cancer Center through the UMass Cancer Walk and Run.
Vermont Federal Credit Union
Vermont Federal Credit Union partnered with the radio stations 106.7 WIZN and 99.9 The BUZZ for their 13th annual Feed Your Neighbor food drive and collected over 7,000 pounds of food. The federal credit union also donated over $20,000 to 10 local charities and non-profit organizations. Great job Vermont Federal Credit Union!
All In Credit Union
All In Credit Union awarded over $225,000 to 16 charitable organizations in support of the aid they bring towards the communities they serve. $200,000 of the funds were allocated by All In Credit Union’s Board of Directors and $25,633 was collected through the credit union’s Skip-A-Payment loan program.
IC Credit Union
Credit unions are contributing gifts to the communities in which they serve. IC Credit Union gifted $17,500 to local communities in North Central Massachusetts to support Home Heating Aid. Thank you IC Credit Union!
