Humanitarian Highlight 11.24.22
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, we would like to thank all the credit unions for all the good they do. We are spotlighting a few credit unions giving back to the communities they serve. This all to show we are thankful for credit unions.
Valley Strong Credit Union
Valley Strong Credit Union donated $2,500 to Bakersfield Pregnancy Center. The funds will help the center purchase 45 car seats. Thank you Valley Strong Credit Union!
San Mateo Credit Union
San Mateo Credit Union raised $10,000 for local nonprofits. The credit union gave $5,000 in donations to WeHOPE and the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County.
TBA Credit Union
TBA Credit Union donated $14,000 to Traverse City Area Public Schools. The money will be used to help fund the LEAP program, purchase dry-erase markers, and acquire a new digital scoreboard.
BayPort Credit Union
BayPort Credit Union gifted 500 backpacks to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula. The credit union also presented them with a $1,000 Amazon gift card to purchase new books. Great job BayPort Credit Union!
Gulf Coast Federal Credit Union
Gulf Coast Credit Union donated $1,500 to Foster Angels of South Texas. The funds will help local children have proper clothing, meals, and essentials this season.
WyHy Credit Union
WyHy Credit Union donated $2,500 to Climb Wyoming, an organization that provides career training and placement to single mothers to help them become self-sufficient. Thank you WyHy Credit Union!
