Humanitarian Highlight 09.01.22
This week’s #HumanitarianHighlight is on credit unions building brighter communities. Here are a few CUs giving back through drives, charity events, and donations.
Sunmark Credit Union
Sunmark Credit Union is helping to build brighter communities by raising more than $85,000 at their 22nd annual charity golf tournament. The funds will be used to help local non-profit organizations. Great job, Sunmark Credit Union!
VyStar Credit Union
VyStar Credit Union gifted $17,500 to Family Support Services, an agency that provides services to help prevent child abuse and programs to aid children in foster care. The credit union’s gift will go toward the Packs4Jax program, which provides necessary school supplies to children.
Sound Credit Union
Sound Credit Union raised $25,000 at their Auction Day event for Business Impact NW. The funds will help support business owners to gain access to resources and help build a stronger community.
Black Hills Federal Credit Union
Black Hills Federal Credit Union collected over 100,000 school supplies through the BHFCU School Supply Drive. The supplies were collected by representatives from over 60 schools. Thank you, Black Hills Federal Credit Union!
United Financial Credit Union
United Financial Credit Union collected over 150 purses through their purse drive. The credit union was able to collect purses, personal care products, and monetary donations in support of Saginaw’s Underground Railroad and the Bay Area Women’s Center.
Clearview Federal Credit Union
Clearview Federal Credit Union gifted $5,000 to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank as part of their annual golf outing. The food bank helps distribute 45 million meals annually. Their donation will help build a brighter community in Pittsburgh.
