Learning that some children go home without the basic essentials, WesTex FCU didn’t have the heart to push this issue aside. Thinking about the future generation, the WesTex FCU team came together to helped replenish the Pirate Pantry at Lubbock-Cooper East Elementary School.
“The Pantry’s ultimate goal is to help each child with the best possible chance to succeed. Charnese Perez is in charge of the program, which serves all eight campuses within the Lubbock-Cooper school district. Donations from community members are accepted, so the next time you are at the grocery store, Costco or Sam’s, pick up an extra item or two and take it by the Pirate Pantry.”
Proud to help create a #CUdifference, Greater Iowa CU donated a $1,000 and helped support one of the state’s largest nonprofit human services agency, Lutheran Services in Iowa.
