Credit unions are doing their part to empower and uplift their neighborhoods through charitable donations and volunteer work. In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight, let’s take a closer look at credit unions empowering communities.
Central One Federal Credit Union
Central One Federal Credit Union donated $10,000 to Westborough Connects, an organization that supports individuals and families in need. The credit union’s contribution will help Westborough Connects continue to provide critical services to those who need it most.
802 Credit Union
802 Credit Union is another credit union that is actively involved in making a difference in their community. The credit union contributed $6,000 towards Project Feed the Thousands’ 2022 fundraising campaign. The campaign successfully raised a total of $138,748 and 369,839 meals.
The Firefighters and Company Federal Credit Union
The Firefighters and Company Federal Credit Union donates hundreds of carbon monoxide detectors annually to the communities they serve. In the past eight years, they have donated to various departments across the area. Recently, the Xenia Fire Division was one of several departments that received a donation of carbon monoxide detectors.
Dow Credit Union
Dow Credit Union purchased and delivered a variety of items to Midland’s Open Door. These donations will go towards helping individuals in need through the organization’s daily operations. A little kindness can go a long way!
Cherokee Strip Credit Union
Cherokee Strip Credit Union made a contribution of $645.82 to the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society. The credit union’s support will go a long way in assisting the organization in caring for animals in need.
Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union
Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union gifted $500 to Parkway Elementary School. Their contribution went to the kindergarten field trip to Family Farm. Great work Hurricane Creek Federal Credit Union!
