Humanitarian Highlight 4.13.23

It is inspiring to see credit unions transforming communities and making the world a better place. In this week’s #HumanitarianHighlight we are following credit unions that are donating and raising funds to help the communities in which they serve.

Interra Credit Union

Interra Credit Union’s 29th annual Hometown Giving holiday service project raised over $36,000 to support 36 nonprofit agencies in the five counties they serve. The agencies chosen focus on the needs of adults and children, meal providing, clothing, medical supplies, and education. Great work Interra Credit Union!

Verve Credit Union

Verve, a Credit Union, pledged to donate $1 million over the next five years to the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh’s Capital Campaign. Their contribution helped the club work towards its fundraising goal of $18 million for the building expansion and community center project.

Our Community Credit Union

Our Community Credit Union’s Steamboat branch welcomed 7th-grade students from Griffin School to teach them about check deposits and financial institutions. This is just one example of how credit unions provide valuable financial education to future generations. Thank you Our Community Credit Union for helping transform the communities you serve.

Capital Credit Union

Capital Credit Union held their annual Easter Egg Hunt for employees and their families. The event was filled with springtime activities and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

River Valley Credit Union

River Valley Credit Union raised $2,600 for Flat River Outreach Ministries through their Skip-A-Payment program. The donation will help the organization provide much-needed support to those in need.

VacationLand Federal Credit Union

VacationLand Federal Credit Union partnered up with the City of Sandusky Recreation Department, Sandusky Rotary, and Sandusky City Schools to create an Easter Egg Hunt. The event was a great way to help transform the community.
