Humanitarian Highlight 4.06.23

Credit unions work tirelessly spreading kindness in the communities they serve. In this week’s #humanitarianhighlight, we observe credit unions sharing their generosity through donations and community events.

MSU Federal Credit Union

MSU Federal Credit Union recently donated $50,000 to WKAR Public Media to support their educational initiatives during the annual PBS KIDS Day event. Their kindness will allow WKAR to purchase more literacy tools and books for distribution in mid-Michigan. In addition, their contribution will be used to produce virtual education workshops and training for educators and families. Thanks to MSUFCU, more children in the community will have access to high-quality educational programming.

Neighborhood Credit Union

Neighborhood Credit Union has been supporting Children’s Health for 30 years, and recently raised $25,000 to the organization through their Skip-A-Pay program. The donation will go a long way in providing a comfortable space for those who need it most.

First Trust Credit Union

First Trust Credit Union has donated $15,000 to The Salvation Army of Michigan. The credit union’s generosity will make a significant difference in their community. Thank you First Trust Credit Union!

Security Service Federal Credit Union

Security Service Federal Credit Union’s Charitable Foundation recently donated $2,500 to Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen to help them purchase food and disposable items. The Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen serves over 100 meals a day, six days a week. This donation will ensure that they can continue providing food for those who need it most.

Atomic Credit Union

Atomic Credit Union gifted $500 to the Village of Beaver to assist with the maintenance of their park. The funds will go towards ensuring the park’s ball diamonds, concessions, restrooms, electricity, and other expenses are taken care of. Atomic Credit Union’s focus on community involvement is admirable, and their actions truly make a difference.

America’s First Federal Credit Union

America’s First Federal Credit Union was spreading kindness in the 2023 Alabama Boat Show and Expo. The community event exhibited boat inventory, boat dock systems, ATVs, and kayaks. The net proceeds were donated to the AmFirst Community First Initiative. Thank you America’s First Federal Credit Union!
