are not just financial institutions but are active participants in humanitarian efforts. In this week's #humanitarianhighlight, we highlight the humanitarian actions of credit unions that have significantly impacted their local communities.

Ascend Federal Credit Union

First, Ascend recently donated $115,585 to Second Harvest to purchase a refrigerated trailer that will expand their distribution of food to those in need through the Grocery Rescue Program. This donation will help the organization to continue its mission of reducing food waste and hunger in their community. Amazing work Ascend Credit Union!

Point Breeze Credit Union

Point Breeze Credit Union has donated $60,000 to six local hospitals in the greater Baltimore region. Each hospital received $10,000, which will go toward each hospital's specific needs and continued efforts to support healthcare workers and staff members in 2023. Thank you Point Breeze Credit Union!

Valley Credit Union

Valley Credit Union donated $15,000 to support annual sober graduation parties at three local high schools. The all-night events are alcohol and drug-free, providing a secure and enjoyable environment for students to celebrate the end of the school year.

Peach State Federal Credit Union

Peach State Federal Credit Union gifted $5,000 to Georgia Gwinnett College in support of student scholarships and continuing education. The credit union maintains its focus on education, paying tribute to its roots. This donation will make higher education more accessible for students, highlighting the importance of investing in education to create a better future.

All In Credit Union

All In Credit Union donated $720 to “Advantage Enterprise,” a program that promotes the benefits of tennis and provides adaptive tennis resources. The donation will be used to purchase “Enterprise Advantage” t-shirts for program participants. Great job All In Credit Union!

LGE Community Credit Union

Lastly, LGE Community Credit Union teamed up with Contact Center and LGE Insurance Services to organize a food drive and donated 258 pounds of food to Helping Hands of Paulding County. The successful initiative was carried out in collaboration with several participants. Their actions highlight the importance of teamwork and community involvement.
