Humanitarian Highlight 11.17.22

Hello everyone, happy Thursday, and welcome back to an all-new Humanitarian Highlight! This week’s #HumanitarianHighlight spotlights credit unions’ acts of kindness.

State Employees Credit Union

State Employees Credit Union raised $100,000 to support Children’s Miracle Network through their 5th annual fall fundraiser and Cars for Kids car show. The funds raised will help support on-site learning programs at the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital.

Superior Choice Credit Union

Superior Choice Credit Union donated $45,000 to Judy Garland Museum. The donation allows the museum to purchase the land next to them. Great job Superior Choice Credit Union!

Broadview Federal Credit Union

Broadview Federal Credit Union donates $35,000 to local nonprofit veteran-related organizations. The federal credit union made a $5,000 donation to Folds of Honor, the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center Food Pantry, Albany Housing Coalition, HicksStrongm Southern Tier Veterans Support Group, Clear Path for Veterans, and WNY Heroes. Thank you for all these acts of kindness!

North Island Credit Union

North Island Credit Union underwrites costs for 650 students by partnering with USS Midway Museum through their “No Child Left Ashore” scholarship fund. The fund increases access to onboard programs for children in under-resourced communities.

Neches Federal Credit Union

Neches Federal Credit Union raised more than $4,000 through its 7th Annual Veterans Day 5K Event. The proceeds will go towards the Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group, a non-profit that provides final military honors to veterans from all military branches.

Monroe Community CU

Monroe Community Credit Union provided a donation to the Monroe Family YMCA through their Member Match program. Great job Monroe Community Credit Union!
