Humanitarian Highlight 12/5

A Road to New Beginnings

#HumanitarianHighlight is back in action and we couldn’t be more excited! The reason we have these types of blogs out every Thursday is to highlight the many extraordinary efforts many credit unions across the U.S. partake in. Always thinking about the community at hand, we love and look forward to giving our credit union family shout-outs for all the positive impact they have created. If you know of any credit union that went above and beyond for their community, use #HumanitarianHighlight to be featured on our page! Now let’s take a trip down a road to new beginnings.

SPIRE Credit Union

Helping out their beloved community, SPIRE CU’s employees raised a total amount of $9,000 for the American Cancer Society. You are all truly an inspiration!

Cinfed Credit Union

Donated $1,000 to Cincinnati Zoo in honor of supporting them as world-class leaders in conversation and members of their community.

VyStar Credit Union

Let’s give a round of applause to VyStar CU and all their employees for raising an outstanding amount of $29,665.25 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Thank you for creating not only a #CUdifference but also a #CUmovement!

Southwest 66 Credit Union

Creating a #CUdifference in the community, Southwest 66 CU donated $4,000 to the Odessa victims of the mass shooting tragedy that took place on August 31. Thank you for showing your support!

BayPort Credit Union

Even on their day off, BayPort CU took the time to partner up with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank to help pack more than 25,000 pounds of food. Not only is this a good deed, but it also helps alleviate the stress of food insecurity for about 20,000 in the community.

TwinStar Credit Union

Being a big help in the community, TwinStar CU raised more than $5,000 AND donated a few thousand pounds of food to eight Homeless Backpacks organizations during their Food & Fund Drive!

Helping create better lives for many people in their community, One Detroit CU volunteered to package food boxes at Focus: HOPE for home-bound seniors.
